Integrations & API

Works with your other tools.

You get a read-only API with limited keys, signed webhooks, accounting files your accountant can import, calendar feeds and e-mail-to-file. None of them ever hands out a note or an identity document.

API and webhooks

Other tools can read your data and get signed events, but they can never write.

A read-only API with limited keys

Partners create API keys limited to cases, hearings, tasks, clients or documents. A key sees only what its creator can see, and it is shown once and stored hashed. Every call is logged, and writes are refused.

Webhooks

Events are sent within seconds: hearing outcome recorded, case created, invoice issued, payment received, document uploaded. Each is signed with HMAC-SHA256 and a timestamp. Failed sends are retried at 1 minute, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, 2 hours and 12 hours, then marked failed with the reason.

Fixed fields only

Each event sends a fixed list of fields. So a note or an identity document can't leave through a webhook.

Accounting

Give your accountant a Tally, QuickBooks or Xero file that is safe to import twice.

Tally, QuickBooks, Xero

Tally XML with ledger masters and vouchers, QuickBooks IIF and Xero manual-journal CSV, for each period. Client money is shown as a liability.

Same period, same file

The same period always gives the same file, and a checksum is saved. So importing it twice does nothing.

Everyday connections

Send hearings to your calendar, file e-mail to cases and take payments by Razorpay or Stripe.

Calendar feeds

Subscribe in Google, Apple or Outlook calendar with an iCal link.

E-mail-to-file

Every case has its own e-mail address. Mail from verified senders is filed with its attachments.

WhatsApp, SMS and e-mail

These channels are built in: the WhatsApp Business Platform with templates and opt-in, an SMS gateway and e-mail.

Online payments

Razorpay for India and Stripe for the US. Payments are confirmed by signed webhooks.

Import

Import from a spreadsheet, a CNR, a bar number or a photo of a diary page.

In practice

What this looks like on a real day

The firm's own dashboard

A partner keeps a reporting sheet outside Lawyer Diary.

What happensA webhook adds each recorded outcome to it within seconds. The signature proves it came from Lawyer Diary.

Month-end with the accountant

A correction is made after the first export.

What happensExporting again gives a new file with a new checksum. Importing the old file again changes nothing.

The calendar everyone already uses

A partner runs her day from her phone's calendar.

What happensShe subscribes to her hearings and deadlines once. They then appear on every device.

These are example stories. The names and matters are made up. The features are real.

By design

Built so that…

The public API is read-only.
Keys are shown once and stored hashed.
Webhooks carry a fixed list of fields only: no notes, no identity documents.
